Hey guys!!! How's everyone doing?! Starting to go to my doctors appointments to sign the CON paperwork. I'm having trouble figuring out where to get my FIT test done (for the N-95 mask thing) my family practitioner doesn't offer that type of test (she went to UCF too & she said she did it at the hospital she worked at). Anyone have any luck doing this test????

No problem! This website should take you directly to where you can review their application dates and all the things you need to do to apply!! Application Deadlines | UCF College of Nursing I strongggggly suggest to make an advising appointment with a nursing adviser (you do not need to be a UCF student to make an appointment with them), you will have to email them your transcripts (which you can just screenshot) and they can answer all your questions, tell you general info, and let you know if you're on the right track!!! If you can, also attend a UCF Nursing session at UCF or if you are at valencia they have many meetings there too

Hey Princess. You do not need to get your AA, but you need to complete 7 out of the 8 pre-requisites, along with all the "general education" courses (such as comp 1, humanities, etc) in order to be eligible to apply. Also, UCF offers many BSN programs, depending on when you would like to start. Fall BSN programs are in the Orlando campus. If you want to attend Cocoa or Daytona campus, their program starts in the spring. Go to the UCF Nursing homepage and look at the dates applications open, when to apply, and they also provide statistics on the GPAs/Test scores each program takes. UCF Orlando accepts around 130 students. Cocoa and Daytona accept around 30 or so.

I just called their office. They said if we are a transfer student then we must complete both a general transfer orientation, and obviously the nursing orientation too! Haha yes... Well "Etorr" is the First letter of my first name and "torr" is my last name minus two letters! Hopefully there is just one Kristin (or kirstine, sorry) so that'll make it easier to find you!! I am so excited I feel like I can barely sleep at nights haha

I have been waiting for the second email to see if that would clarify it so I dont sign up for the wrong orientation. Also, I realize that if we are transfer students we have to complete an immunization document which we can find under "Holds" in you MyUCF page! I heard you had to do it before orientation... I am not sure

I know I am a little late to post.... But just in case a future applicant is reviewing all of these comments: I spent my first semester at UF, then transferred and did all other credits at Valencia Community college. Some credits I got from AP classes, but I did most courses at Valencia. Also, I took biology instead of chemistry, which UCF does not judge you by either. This goes to show that UCF is unbiased about where you came from. They are strictly academic. Some courses are harder at University level than community college level (obviously) but it comes down to how rigorous you are as a student. Maybe I got accepted due to the fact that UCF saw I started at UF, or maybe they truly do accept the highest GPAs/test scores. Just never give up and do not get discouraged... We are all living proof that hard work pays off!!!!

Hello Everyone! I was looking for the latest forum for UCF 2016 nursing programs and only ran into one from 2014.... So I decided to create this one! Acceptances are already being sent out & I want to go over any questions anyone might have! My stats: Pre-req GPA: 4.0 Overall GPA: 3.97 TEAS: 82% I took BIO instead of Chem. I started by first semester at UF 2014, then transferred to Valencia to finish all other pre-reqs (except math, stats, and comp 1 which I got credit through AP classes in high school). This goes to show that UCF is unbiased from where you came from, community college vs university level. They judge strictly based off of academics. From the past forums, many people were worried about their GPA and their TEAS scores and whether or not it would get them accepted. Hopefully other people who got accepted will share their stats so we can all compare the overall strength of this year's acceptance. A UCF adviser told me that acceptance depends on the overall strength of the applicants. So just because you got over a 78% on TEAS, doesn't mean you will get in. There are other factors too. Let me know if you have any questions and I can give you my best advice! Hope we can all share our info!!! I would love to know who else I will be studying with this fall :)
