UCF Fall 2016 Traditional BSN Applicants

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello Guys!

I know in years past there have been threads created where people could share their stats and discuss the application process. The window to apply for Fall 2016 is right around the corner (Jan. 15 - Feb. 15) and I was surprised to not find a thread.

If you feel like sharing:

Overall GPA-

TEAS-

Prereq GPA-

I will add mine separately from the post! I hope we are all accepted and are able to turn this thread into a place where we can help each other out through the application and waiting processes!

Okay soooo... you know in the information sessions they warn you NOT to be that person who waits until the last minute? I appear to have become that person. I had changed my mind about applying to UCF until the last week of Fall semester. Long story short, I am taking the TEAS as soon as any local testing center reopens after the holiday break. Hopefully I do well so I do not have to take it again but if I have to I will have one more chance to retake it before the application deadline. I am so stressed about this so I am studying really hard to ace this test and hopefully get a competitive 85 on the TEAS the first time!

All that said, I have:

Overall GPA- 3.96

TEAS- Not taken yet :(

Prereq GPA- 4.0

Hello, I have been reading these threads since I started my AA on a mission into the BSN program. Now, it's finally my time to try to make it in to UCF Nursing program. It is good to see a couple of people involved and i am ready for the application window to open up. I have finally completed all the requirements and all that is left for me is this application window to open up.

Hello I decided last minute to apply to UCF. I received my AA this fall and have to transfer it over. Hopefully they evaluate the transcript quickly so I can make the window! Not sure how long it takes.

GPA- 3.7

PREreq- 3.5

teas- I take January 11

I am so excited it is time to apply! Did you guys do all 8 of the pre-reqs? I have 1 remaining and have been told repeatedly that 7/8 is fine and the only requirement but it makes me nervous. I am finishing my A.A. in the Spring which includes the 8th pre-req.

yeah i finished my AA and all my prereqs in fall so I'm am just relaxing and just trying to stay ahead with the application. They accept transfers into undergraduate admissions pretty fast, so you should have no worries. Yeah i did all my prereqs though, but having 7 of the 8 prereqs done by the application deadline is essential.

Awesome I'm glad to hear this. I was worried they would take 8 weeks to evaluate my AA. Good luck to you all.

I have completed all 8 pre reqs

Are both of you transfer students from a community college?

Yes state college of Florida in Sarasota

Yes, I am transferring from Daytona State. My GPA is pretty competitive but I wish I hadnt second guessed myself and had completed all 8 pre-reqs instead (even though they say 7/8 is fine). Hopefully the TEAS goes well. I am used to being ahead of the game so my little bout of self doubt is haunting me. I will relax when my application and everything is submitted until then I am a nervous wreck!! :nailbiting:

Oh dear I have no clue. I think you should ask an advisor!

My colleges grading system does include B+, C+ and D+. No minuses though. Way to go with your 4.0!
