I'm non-clinical also at Florida Hospital. I tried to play that up in most questions because I believe I was the only one with any experience working (not just volunteering) in that environment. I hope I came off as genuine because interacting with patients and their families is really the most rewarding part of my job!

I volunteer in a position that is a paid position. Lol I volunteer in outpatient services from 5 AM to 11 AM on Fridays, if that counts.

I used to volunteer at the hospital. And as far as work experience, I've worked in customer service.
I would have played it up too! If I had any experience. I would love to work in a hospital right now.. Or with patients.
I did some brief volunteer work in the baby pace at a Florida hospital but the ladies were so mean when they talked about the patients and condescending to me that I actually thought about changing majors.

It would be my first time in scrubs too!!! ^_^ so exciting! I have been serving for over 5 years now... A good way to encounter all different types of people!
I've encountered some mean nurses too while my dad was hospitalized that almost made me change my major too.... It's different at each hospital though
Oh and I don't know if they told you, but during my interview we were told CON is trying to get it arranged where some clinicals can be at the VA hospital and Nemours.
Thy told my group that also! I would love to be at nemours
What is nemours? Sorry if it's a dumb question haha but I'm still learning the area
Yeah me too. I hope they have it set up before the program starts in August!!
Nemours is the new children's hospital in "medical city"/lake Nona. It opened in October.
