UCF Concurrent SSC/VCC Fall 2013

Published

Hey guys! I have been searching to see if anybody has started a thread for those who have/are applying to UCFs Concurrent Programs! The ones I am interested in are Seminole State's and Valencia's Concurrent Programs. Has anybody else applied to UCFs Concurrent Programs for the Fall of 2013?!

Hey guys! I got into the concurrent program as well! My gpa was 3.45, teas was 80.7, and finished my prereqs fall 2012. So excited to meet everyone at orientation June 20th! I wonder what the days for boot camp will be.

I didn't do too well the first time I took the TEAS test. I went back to the ATI book and made sure I understood every chapter of the science portion. The ATI book is very general, so spend time watching youtube videos and getting more familiar with the periodic table (i.e. what makes ionic bonds/covalent bonds, octect rule!), know acids vs. bases, know mitosis vs. meiosis inside out, and other areas such as: facilitated diffusion, osmosis, potential vs. kinetic. The second time around I made sure I focused on the periodic table and how the different bonds are made, including the octect rule and how that applies to oxygen, carbon, etc.

Do a search within this forum for tips on studying for the science portion of the TEAS. It offers a great insight on the areas to focus on. A lot of the material covered within the TEAS test forum of this site is what I used to study for the TEAS.

Don't give up and keep up the studying. You're gonna do great the next time around!

This may be a dumb question...but what is boot camp? I briefly remember it being mentioned but I don't know any details. Thanks (:

Lol I don't really know what they are either! On the email we got from seminole state there are a couple of attachments the sent us and one of them are for the boot camp information. The attachment very briefly explains that there will be four sessions and what we will be doing in those sessions.

Did the email go to your SSC email? I didn't get any other emails besides one from UCF that said I was accepted.

Am I the only one on here who got into VCC concurrent?

Yes they sent it to both my SSC and my regular email. I got both the UCF email and the SSC email.

I have only gotten the UCF email...I guess I'll have to call

I got in both Generic and SCC/UCF concurrent and will be taking a seat in the concurrent program. I finished my last pre-req in Fall 2012.

The email goes to the email address that you used on the application. I didn't get one in my SSC email box, I checked. They both went to my UCF knights mail account.

Hi everyone! I received my email acceptance into the UCF/SCC Concurrent!!! I'm so happy for everyone who got in. Does anyone know, do we send back the acceptance for both?

Congratulations!! According to the two emails, for SSC you send back the letter of intent, or you can bring it in. For UCF you have to print and sign the congratulations email and send it back to the college of nursing.
