Searched the forum and haven't seen any thread for "hopefuls" for UCF's Accelerated and/or Traditional Basic Nursing program for 2015. I'm applying to both since the deadline to apply overlap each other. If I don't make it...then I'm trying for the Coca Beach branch and then lastly, the UCF/SSC Concurrent programs.
Anyone else?
I am applying for the second degree program and the basic. Trying to figure out if I will get in the second degree program. I got an 86 on the TEAS, and I have a 4.0 gpa in sciences pre recs. 3.75 in other pre recs and a 3.78 gpa overall from my first degree. I don't see a thread for the second degree program but what I heard from the adviser is that everyone on the second degree waiting list got in last year. The background check isn't hard. You just have to go get your fingerprints done and fill out some info on a website.
Hi everyone! I am applying to the accelerated, basic UCF, basic Cocoa, UCF/Valencia concurrent, and Valencia. The accelerated program at UCF is my number one choice. I really want to start in May! I am from Indiana and have a degree from Indiana University, but I took all of my prereqs at Valencia. Best wishes to everyone and happy new year!

Agh I really hope everyone from the wait list gets in because it feels like that may be the best possible option for my stats at the moment.
I got an 87% on the TEAS, but for my science pre-reqs I have 2 Bs and 1 A. Making it a 3.33 (I think) for just the science portion for now.
I made a mistake by taking microbio and anatomy at UCF in the same semester lol I couldn't devote time to both and have 4 classes to focus on either. If only I took them separate :-(
My overall GPA is a 3.467 at the moment.
But whatever is meant to be will happen I guess!
How long did it take for any of you to complete the background check? I was fingerprinted last Wednesday, and on the certified profile website it still says incomplete under the "eligible for placement" tab. I'm getting a little worried. Just wondering if it takes awhile to process once fingerprints are submitted.
That will not go away until you are admitted. On the my UCF portal, when u go to check the status of your nursing application you should see that your prints and check would be received and on the bottom of the page, it says that one section will be incomplete until the student is reviewed for admission.

No problem at all, the holidays are always a bit crazy. Yes the entire application process does seem incredibly thorough. Hopefully it will all be worth it though :)
