Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Hi guys,

I JUST CALLED CON, and the person who answered the phone said: "I believe that the emails will go out tomorrow"...

So everyone...one more day... They are so slow this time around... Cocoa/Daytona campuses had their interview on 10/31/12 (Tue) and

got answers 3 days later 11/2/12 (Fri) :(

They probably like to release emails on Fridays to avoid answering annoying phone calls since CON is closed on weekends.

Hang all in there...I'm very anxious myself... :(

This waiting wouldn't be so hard on us, if we didn't want it so much... So stay positive... :)

Just made it home. Letters tomorrow!?! Seriously grumpy about that. I am tired of this. The whole application process has been a high tension experience.

It stinks knowing that they have the names, but we just have to wait. Hopefully we'll know by the end of the morning, but I'm sure it'll be late afternoon.

I guess Friday it is. That stinks. I will need a nurse to give me CPR at this pace and unfortunately we are all just pending nurses.

Ok, so it better be today. And it better be a good result, or I foresee today ending with a bottle of wine and a slurpee straw.

Good luck!!! Today will be the day around 5ish. They do that purposefully so that they aren't bombarded by people who didn't get in, get wait listed or overachievers like you all who want to know when orientation is, textbook info, and all the other good stuff!!! Crossing my fingers for all of you. Hopefully I will be seeing all of you around campus in a little over a month!! :)
