Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

It would be a nice way to stay in touch before the program starts and later to collaborate throughout semesters.

Would you like to give such group any special name?

It would be great to hear your ideas since I'd hope for this group to represent a team effort.

Same here...and my knights email box has been particularly active getting all crazy emails with campus info or what not. ;)

Every time I check my UCF email my heart drops.

I'm ready to see this, and wish you all to see the same in your email box ....

"Congratulations! The Admissions Committee has completed the decision process for the Class of 2014 UCF College of Nursing Undergraduate Program ABSN Track (Summer 2014, Orlando campus ), and you have been selected for conditional acceptance."

Oh. This would make my day...:) well..more like my year .. Lol ;)

The last class made a private page titled "UCF Accelerated BSN - Class of 2013" so it could be similar, just "2014" instead.

I'm getting anxious waiting!! Fingers crossed!

Yes. Waiting is once again KILLING me. Not only do I keep hitting the refresh button on my email, but I am also addicted to the certified background website to see if that accept/decline button has changed at all....Nope.

I thought the earliest we were going to find out is Thursday?? That's what we were told would probably be the day during the interview. Oh mannn

You are probably right, but still, since the committee is meeting today there still might be a chance...

I'm itching to give notice at work and have good news sooner rather than later. :)
