UCF Accelerated BSN 2011-2012

Anyone else applying? :clown:

UCF Hopeful - I also have a weird prerequisite comment - mine lists requirement of a C or better in general psychology - very strange - I have a degree in psychology with a GPA of 3.98. My degree audit is still not correct. I have been contacting the registrar's office, as well as CON contacting the registrar's office to no avail. Fortunately I was able to supply the CON with their own copy.

Thanks Binxx,

I don't have anything listed under the prerequisites it just says

Prerequisites (Must be a grade of "C" or better)

Other Requirements:

FDLE in progress/Certified background check (on-line)

Perhaps they have two sections (each bold) and underneath they are saying what you are missing. If that's the case then I am OK because no course is actually listed.

I'm sorry about your confusion with the registrar, I've had some difficulty with them myself.

Congratulations though!

I'm sending my signed e-mail certified tomorrow!

I'm in!!! :yeah: Woohoo...I don't like the deadline though because it's before we should hear back from UNF after interviews :( I guess I will be making the decision after I go up for interviews next Friday.

mine says:

prerequisites (must be a grade of "c" or better)

introduction to sociology or general psychology (huh? this is odd because i have taken both already and got better than c's)

other requirements:

general education requirements of aa from state of florida university or community college (huh? i have a ba - not from a florida university though - is that enough??)

fdle in progress/certified background check (on-line) (i guess everyone still has to do this?)

i'm going to have to go to ucf on monday and speak to someone in person about this. i will be in orlando anyway. and might as well hand in the signed email while i am there! :D

congrats pitterpatti! i knew you'd get in, you had stellar stats! i'm in too! i think it's nice to actually have this already, it will make us more confident for unf interviews i think.

I guess I have to agree with you Paco...I will be more confident and I will know that I have a decision to make. Congrats to you too Paco and everyone else that got in!

my email also says i need to compete general sociology, and i completed it over the summer. this course requirement shows up as satisfied on my degree audit, so i will have to contact the con on monday to try to get it cleared up.

gatorgrad8, keep your hopes up. I had a 3.65 overall and 4.0 pre-req with an 87 on TEAS. Once you meet a certain overall GPA, I think they place more emphasis on the pre-req GPA. Congratulations everyone!!!! This made my weekend :)

Paco69 - I have the same FDLE in progress/background check - I think we are all pending that. I think the CON is more organized than the registrar's office. My degree is also from out of state - although as noted above, there are several classes still missing on my degree audit.

For Gatorgrad8 - I understand your frustration at being waitlisted, though I suspect a good number on the waitlist end up getting in - I have fingers crossed for you. You asked for stats - I have an undergrad psychology degree with GPA 3.98, and prerequisite GPA of 4.0. Therefore, the way I "think" this works is I scored 39.8/40 points for undergrad, 40/40 points for prerequisite. I bombed the TEAS with an 80.7 which cost me 8 points and I ended with a total of 111.8/120. This was explained to me at UCF, but I was in crisis mode that day after working for such a banging GPA and then bombing the TEAS....

I see a lot of people who got in and some who didn't....did anyone else get on the waiting list? That's what I got....I guess we wait till the 18th to see how far down the list we are.

So last year, decisions were released Feb 26th which was a Friday ... this year they were released March 4th, also a Friday. A week later, perhaps due to an increase in applications. I see a trend!
