UCF- Accelerated BSN Starting Summer 2012

Anyone applying for UCF's Accelerated BSN program beginning in Summer 2012?

People also accept their spots as a backup....some of the other schools are just now giving results. So people will accept a spot at UCF and then get in somewhere else, so they call UCF and cancel.

I think sometimes someone might accept their spot, and then later isn't able to keep it... fails a background check or a drug test, etc. That may be why someone on the wait list might not hear up until the very last minute? Not sure, just a guess...

Thanks Yoshin78! All i got is that I'm in the middle no top or bottom so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers that it'll work out. :)

Congrats Yoshin78! I'm glad to hear that UCF is sending out e-mails to people on the waitlist! I feel like the wait has been forever to hear from them. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed sunshine03, however, I'm on the bottom of the list. yikes. SO hopefully they make it all the way down the list!!

Woot! I got in off the waitlist today! Sooo happy and extremely relieved!

Congratulations! Did they let you know through personal email only? Or phone call too?

It was an email.....basically the same email that everyone got in the beginning, "Congratulations, conditionally accepted, blah blah blah". Now I'm drowning in all the other paperwork that everyone else has been working on for a month! :o)

Still holding out hope. I was told that I'm in the upper half of the waitlist, and that May 1 is the last day to hear back from them. I know there's quite a few of us on the waitlist in this thread, but so far only one of us received an email. Hopefully, that will change!

@Protas - Yes we are all hoping that we will hear word about the waitlist soon. From what I've gathered the concurrent program acceptances will come out this week which will take some individuals off of the waitlist for the accelerated once they accept their seat on the concurrent and hopefully start to move some of us along. Stay positive everyone! :o

Me too! I think a lot are just holding up 2 or more places in several colleges. Or maybe most people who get called off wait list are just not on this forum. Idk.

However, if there are a few of us on the top half, it is impossible that only one got called :S

I agree it doesn't make sense especially if some of us are closer to the beginning versus the bottom half of the list. Seems like UCF is a little behind this year and calls may not be made until the last minute for us on the waitlist. Better late than never I hope!
