I didn't see a thread for the UCAN Denver 2021 program yet so I figured I'd start one. I just finished my application a couple weeks ago! Has anyone else applied / planning on applying? I've also applied to Regis' ABSN program.
A little about me – I originally received my Bachelor's in Psychology and went to a Master's program for Clinical Adult Psychology. After moving to Denver, I decided to make the switch to software development and went to a bootcamp. I'm now eager to get back into a caring field and am very excited about eventually becoming a nurse <3!
I’ve just been practicing my answers to some general nursing school interview questions! I think it’s hard to prepare for the group activity (if there is one). It’s so nerve-racking LOL. I was thinking there were 3 separate 40-minute sessions, and since there will be 12 simultaneously interviews happening each session, there would be between 140 and 180 interviewees - which is a bit intimidating!
Best of luck to everyone! Trying to remain positive and not let the nerves get the best of me.
So, how’s everyone feeling after this morning? I can’t believe it’s such a potentially long wait for us to all hear back! Going to be a looooong month or two LOL
Hey! It feels so much better now that we don’t have to think about the interview anymore! Don’t need to stress out for the interview anymore. All that’s left to do is wait! ?? I’ll definitely post on here if I hear anything.
Hey! Did anyone join the zoom call today with the current UCAN students? I wasn’t able to join but I’m curious what was discussed. TIA
I joined today. We asked the three current UCAN students any questions we had. We asked about workload, financial aid, clinicals, study tips, etc. Anapin said at the end that she would be typing up the questions and answers to send out to everyone.
I have a 4.0 GPA. I am a CNA and a doula. I worked on the Covid floor for 3 months. I am waitlisted. I am literally as a loss for words. We could get a call anytime between now and Dec. 8.
@Emilucky I’m waitlisted too, just hoping to hear something before December! Same kinda thing though, I’m a CNA at UCHealth & on a Covid floor for a while, it’s just so competitive!! CONGRATS to everyone though!
