UCAN Denver 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys!

I didn't see a thread for the UCAN Denver 2021 program yet so I figured I'd start one. I just finished my application a couple weeks ago! Has anyone else applied / planning on applying? I've also applied to Regis' ABSN program.

A little about me – I originally received my Bachelor's in Psychology and went to a Master's program for Clinical Adult Psychology. After moving to Denver, I decided to make the switch to software development and went to a bootcamp. I'm now eager to get back into a caring field and am very excited about eventually becoming a nurse <3!

Best of luck to everyone!

CONGRATS! All I’ve seen about the interview is one of the previous posts mention of testing a scenario.... I am curious how y’all intend to prepare with such little knowledge on the interview format. Did I miss something with more details on the format? LOL! Help ! Haha

If anyone else happens to live in Philadelphia and wants to meet up let me know ? Also@jimboshears I think they’ll be emailing us more information regarding the interview in the next couple weeks, nothing specific has been sent out yet except that it’ll be virtual.

CONGRATS to everyone and good luck in the interview!!

Does anyone know traditionally how many people make it to the interview round and also how many people they accept each Spring into the program?

I may be wrong, but I think I remember hearing around 35-40 are accepted each class... anyone else hear the same?

Hi! Does anyone know tuition for out of state applicants?

Specializes in Software Development.

Hi All! Just found this thread - I will be interviewing this Thursday as well. I’m currently a Software Developer and super excited to switch over to nursing! Looking forward to (hopefully) meeting some of you at the interview!

I just found this thread as well! I'm nervous for the interview in two days. Does anyone know if the virtual interviews will be the same format that Jholl94 said? I'm having a hard time with imagining how a group Zoom interview will be formatted

Excited for it anyways though! Fingers crossed for all of us

Hi!

I have done three zoom interviews and all have been successful ? I would just make sure to have a big breakfast and a water bottle close by. In my other interviews there would be a couple of us and a professor would pop in the video chat and ask us all similar questions. Then that professor would leave the video chat and a new one would enter and ask different questions. I hope that helps!

WOW!, that's so helpful! Thank you! Good luck on Thursday

Hi all! Following this thread. I applied for the UCAN program for 2021 as well. I completed my CASpers test last week and I have my interview tomorrow. Does anyone know how many students are in each cohort? Good luck to you all.

Hi @futurenurseamelia- This is what I found on the website. Hope this is what you are looking for.

What are y’all doing to finish up preparing for this interview tomorrow? Wish I knew more about it beyond “interview exercise” LOL. Seems like there will be about 48-60 of us interviewing for what I read was about 35-40 spots in the program.
