I’m applying to CU Denver accelerated BSN for the January 2020 program start. I wanted to see if anyone else is applying or has applied, and if anyone has any tips or suggestions. Or if anyone is currently in the program I’d love to hear all about it! I know it’s super competitive and I don’t know what my chances are... fingers crossed! I’m also applying to Regis University for spring 2020.
About me, I graduated UCSB in 2016 with double major in Communication and Global studies. I’m switching careers to nursing and will be done with all science pre reqs by June. I only have religious studies and Psych left for pre reqs. My undergrad GPA is 3.78 and my pre req GPA should be close to 4.0 (hopefully!) I also have volunteered 100 hours in the ICU. Does anyone know any admissions stats? Would love to hear any information!
@KG89 maybe a coffee shop if something is open that late? Really anywhere that isn’t too crazy or super loud would work. I’ll be staying downtown so I’m fine with something in Denver but if most people are staying closer to campus then I can meet you guys there too. Anyone else have a preference?
I live in Denver as well. There is a Starbucks close to the campus/hospital that is open till 9pm. That might be the easiest... As you don't need transportation if you are staying in the hotels nearby.
Hey everyone! I’m working til 7:30pm that Wednesday but I can come down and get there around 8:30 if anyone would still be down to meet that late? I’m also available tomorrow and Sunday/Monday/Tuesday if anyone who already lives in CO wants to meet before Wednesday!
I'm down to hang anytime after 8 PM on Wednesday at a brewery, coffee shop (besides Starbucks, there must be other unique places nearby!) or restaurant. I'm also renting a car so I can pick up anyone that's staying near the campus if transportation is a problem.
There isn't much around the university campus, especially at night.
I think we should meet at the Stanley Market Place at the Stanley Beer Hall (open till 11:00pm) 2501 N Dallas St. Aurora CO 80010. It's probably 3 miles from the Anshutz campus. Maybe use Uber or Lyft to get there. I will plan on being there at 6pm. If anyone needs to text me my cell is 303 320-1174.
Hey guys, my name is Stacey and I just found this thread! I knew a thread existed for the 2019 cohort, but somehow this slipped past me. I have an interview tomorrow as well and am nervous beyond all get out. What was the official verdict on if people are meeting up tonight?
