Hey all, I am rescinding my acceptance for another program so hopefully one of you will get that spot! We had an update from Anapin and she said the cohort number is 72.

Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020
Johns Hopkins is very curious when it comes to who they accept and why. Their acceptance rate is 46% which is pretty high so honestly I think you have a great shot right now. I do think it would be beneficial for you to get some healthcare experience (volunteer or paid) and get involved in the underserved community. They seem to admit a diverse amount of people from all different backgrounds and experiences. I noticed a good amount of people have had no healthcare experience either, which actually kind of baffles me. They must have had something else that caught their attention and the applicants must have somehow known they wanted to do nursing by some other means. I have a 3.08 undergrad GPA, took the GRE and it was a little above average. I don't think you need the GRE. I've been working in healthcare for 4+ years as an Endo MA, medical team at raves/music festivals, scribe in the ER and underserved clinics. I feel like my essays were pretty good in representing my goals, strengths and passions. I was accepted for Spring 2020. I'm still debating between JHU and Rush in Chicago, but as of right now, I'm leaning towards JHU until I visit both campuses this coming weekend ?

Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020
I'm definitely not assuming, but I have navigated these forums long enough to get a sense of how competitive each program is and Johns Hopkins does not seem to be as competitive as most, based on numerous acceptances and very little "waitlists" I've seen. I've never seen a rejection noted, or maybe the one I did see was because the person didn't have a complete application. They also don't list their acceptance rates anywhere or note how many people normally apply like most schools do which was also suspicious to me. However, based on what current students have been saying, it looks to be worth the price considering my future pathway. Still curious though haha, and so weird for me to actually question THE Johns Hopkins reputation ?

Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020
I'm sure there are many highly qualified applicants, but I have seen questionable applicants as well haha. Yeah, I got into University of Colorado accelerated BSN (UCAN) and have an interview with RUSH Univ this Friday. How about you? I just feel sketched out about the easiness of getting in, even though I know Johns Hopkins is world-reknowned. Hope some current students can provide insight!

Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020
Is it just me, but is this program pretty easy to get into? Makes me question how the number 1 MSN program in the nation has such a seemingly high acceptance rate. Just reading through past years forums, feel like almost everyone gets in. Like has anyone actually gotten rejected from here? haha. Just curious as to what you all think

I'm down to hang anytime after 8 PM on Wednesday at a brewery, coffee shop (besides Starbucks, there must be other unique places nearby!) or restaurant. I'm also renting a car so I can pick up anyone that's staying near the campus if transportation is a problem.
