Hi everyone! I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UC San Diego's new grad RN program!
On the website, it says the July applications are mostly posted in mid to late May. I haven't seen a single opening for the July start date. Is anyone else having this problem?
Good luck to everyone applying!
Definitely come very prepared! Some things I felt helped me were practicing behavioral based & practice questions, "tell me about yourself", "tell me about a time a patient/family was unhappy with the care you provided & what did you do", stuff like that. They did not ask me one clinical scenario question. Arrive early, and make sure to give a good handshake and shake every interviewers hand, and introduce yourself to each. Also spend time making a good portfolio, they can tell when you pay attention to detail. I felt that the panel members for my interview really noticed that, but you never know. Be prepared to explain why you would make a great fit for their unit - whether that be experience of passion

I just received an e-mail for an interview week at Thornton ED. Does anyone have any tips or experiences?
