UC San Diego New Grad RN July 2018

Hi everyone! I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UC San Diego's new grad RN program!

On the website, it says the July applications are mostly posted in mid to late May. I haven't seen a single opening for the July start date. Is anyone else having this problem?

No, they haven't been posted yet. However, they were supposed to be posted in early to mid may. I talked to Nursing Recruitment and they said they had no idea when any of the jobs would be posted.

I am currently waiting too, I emailed recruitment thinking I missed the app period, but now I know the answer... Thanks Megan111!

Hey guys, make sure to check everyday for the applications because they do come randomly throughout the month. That is what I have been doing. Most of the postings are for the cardiovascular center PCU.

I have a status update on an application for Med/Surg: Referred to Hiring Department.

Hi!

I graduate in mid August and have applied to two positions at UCSD that recently popped up (ER and ICU). On the site it mentions that it is for July cohort that will start July/August but the filing deadline is August 3. Does anyone know about this posting and if it is actually for October cohort?

Hi MeeshHa,

I noticed that too. Either the start date is a typo or if they have early applicants that are licensed and ready to start July/August, I'm sure they will process those candidates. The programs typically start 1-2 months after the application posting. However, that is a much narrow window.
