  1. I applied to med/onc PCU and medicine IMU but my status hasn't changed. I interviewed for the Hillcrest ED but I didn't get it.
  2. What position did you apply to that changed to "referred to hiring"? @rnca2018
  3. Has anyone heard back from Hilcrest ER after interviews???
  4. Hilcrest or Thornton, jvsantiago?
  5. Ahh good luck to everyone interviewing! I'm interviewing next week for the ER hilcrest position. Today my application switched for the Thornton ED application to referred to hiring too.
  6. Thanks MeeshHa!! Yes, I do know a couple people that got a job in the ED without a preceptorship first! So don't get discouraged Many ER nurses I worked with began their careers in ICU or floor nursing. Furthermore, a lot of ED nurses I've talked to say it can be more beneficial to start on a floor first! So either way, don't get discouraged, it's a journey :)
  7. Hi MeeshHa! Only the Hillcrest application status changed for me. The application hasn't officially closed for other ED, so it may be another week before anything changes. Yes, I had my preceptorship in the ED. As well as externships in the ED/ICU. (Neither at UCSD) Good luck to everyone :)
  8. My application to the ER changed to "referred to hiring department today". Has anyone else heard anything? Good luck to everyone applying :)
  9. I applied to the ER too. I haven't heard anything, my application status just says "received". I am so anxious to hear back, I heard they have around 800 applicants per opening...(Hoping that's not true, haha)
  10. No, they haven't been posted yet. However, they were supposed to be posted in early to mid may. I talked to Nursing Recruitment and they said they had no idea when any of the jobs would be posted.
  11. Hi everyone! I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UC San Diego's new grad RN program! On the website, it says the July applications are mostly posted in mid to late May. I haven't seen a single opening for the July start date. Is anyone else having this problem? Good luck to everyone applying!
