Hey guys! I wanted to start this thread for those of us that have applied to the UC Davis RN residency program for the August and October 2017 start dates! This is so exciting! Let's keep each other updated and support each other along the way!
Hi!! I'm glad someone started this thread! It's nice to hear updates on interviews, units, etc. I am very interested in pediatrics, and even stressed it on my cover letter. My preceptorship was at Kaiser on their Pediatrics unit in San Diego (I graduated from CSU San Marcos). I don't know if UCD does new grad on the peds floor, but I am hoping they do!! I haven't heard anything from UCD, just the "Routed" status update. One of my friends had an interview on a Med/Surg floor more than 2 weeks ago, not sure if she has heard back. She said they would do another round of calls and interviews in July.
I am also wondering if anyone who is interested in peds has looked into Shriners Children's in Sac? They rarely have any job postings... if anyone has insight on that, it would be greatly appreciated!
Good luck to everyone!
Hello everyone!
I'm wondering if everyone has heard anything, good or bad? I ask because I still haven't heard anything, and my status still says 050-Route. I also tried to call to see what the status of my application was, and I was told to refer to the website. Any feedback would be great.
marzag,
The routed status is generic and will stay that way until they officially hire everyone they want. They also will close it super late. You could have a routed status until October, but in reality, they will probably finish interviewing everyone they want by end of July (if not sooner).
Think of the status update as a status for the entire cohort application, rather than status for individual applications.
I've been waiting to hear back as well ever since my status has changed to "Route". It's been quite awhile since we all applied so I'm hoping we hear back soon or get some sort of status update. I called UC Davis HR a few days ago to try to get a timeline of when things would happen, but she was not able to give me any answers. I think it's basically up to the managers' schedule to decide who they want to invite for interviews because it doesn't seem like HR has an idea when that happens.
Has anyone here interviewed for any of the adult floors, aside from the ICU?

Yes, they do leave a voicemail. For me, they said in the voicemail to call back by the end of the day to express your continued interest in the position.
