UC Davis Nursing Residency - New Grad Sep 2014

Even though I'm not going to be able to apply to this residency, I would like others to benefit from this posting.

This morning I was notified that UC Davis is accepting applications for new BSN and MSN grads. This cohort is supposed to begin September 2014, and applications are being accepted now and only for a few more days.

Those of you that can, go for it, and I hope you get in!

I just submitted my application. Now begins the wait... It seems like the previous cohorts applications were routed to the different units 2-3 weeks after submission. Good luck to everyone applying!

Does anyone know how many job openings they have?

It really depends on the unit and how many they hired... last cohort (July 2014) it was the highest numbers of applicants (1280 applicants) yet with the lowest numbers of spot given (15 spots)...but usually Davis hires about 30-40, I'm just crossing my fingers that this time I will get called for an interview...

Hi I applied to UCD new grad program. good luck all! I hope I can even get an interview at all! so many qualified applicants & not knowing what to expect. My current status states 50-routed. I know it's generic but do some ppl statuses stay 20-applied ?

Does anyone know what type of applicants UCD looks for? For example, do they tend to hire those with MSN degrees more?

No one's status will say anything different because, like you said, they are generic.

Hi! I got a call yesterday about an interview from the peds manager. Mine is only a phone interview because I'm currently on the east coast, but it sounded like she would be holding interviews through at least all of next week. I think all units operate on a different timeline, but some are starting to call! Good luck to everyone!! And if you have interview advice, I'd welcome it--this is my first phone interview!

I applied and my application says 20-routed. I do hope I get a phone interview soon! Has anyone applied to critical care and heard back?

Haven't heard anything. Anyone have any luck hearing back?

mine says 50-route. Is this different than 20-routed? I haven't heard anything either. Nervous.

I have not heard back as well and the wait is daunting. My classmate, who applied to the previous cohort, did not get an interview and never received a rejection e-mail. I think the only way we know our status would be to receive a call or possibly HR.

mine also says 50-routed, I wonder if it's different from 20-routed..I think they started to call for interview on August 15, and the recruiter said the latest they would call would be last week of August, so if we don't hear anything by August 30 I guess that would be it..and I called the recruiter many time they would not specify your individual status..
