UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Spring 2022

Hi, 

I am planning to apply to the UC Davis nurse residency program this coming November. Just getting prepared for the application period and did not see a forum for this coming period. 

If you have any helpful hints or questions, let's answer them here!! Application open from November 1st - November 8th. Start dates March 14th - May 9th.

For those who are still waiting, the HR person confirmed that there are two cohorts, one in March and one in May, so there is still hope even if you haven't received an interview invite or offer yet. Congrats! I was wondering if you received an email for a reference check after your interview?

My status changed to “routed for further consideration”. I have not received an email or call yet. I am interested in the ICU

Has anyone else received a call to join a professional nursing organization to UC Davis in order to meet criteria for an interview?

Has anyone received an email with the survey after interviewing for PICU or received a second interview or job offer from PICU? Congrats to the new NICU nurses!

I have a friend who received a survey and job offer about a month ago.

No, my preceptorship was in the ICU, and I interviewed before my preceptorship was even finished. I just graduated and still do not have my license at the time of this writing.

Has anyone else who interviewed for Cardiology 6 received the SkillSurvey or heard back regarding decisions yet?

Some departments are doing waves of interviews/hiring to fill their spot! The department I interviewed with is on their second wave of hiring, so I wouldn't lose hope yet to those that haven't heard back. The process could all the way until April since their second start date is in May. Kind of unfortunate to those of us that are also looking into other programs but may not hear back in time from Davis.

@jocarr Did you also interview for D6 Cardiology? ?

@_nursing8 Thanks for this information! I interviewed over a month ago and haven't even received the SkillsSurvey ?  And I feel you about applying to other programs. It's tough because Davis is one of the few that requires zero experience with your license.

Yes, I interviewed 1/6 and received an offer 1/13 or 1/14.
