UC Davis Nurse Residency Program - Spring 2022

Hi, 

I am planning to apply to the UC Davis nurse residency program this coming November. Just getting prepared for the application period and did not see a forum for this coming period. 

If you have any helpful hints or questions, let's answer them here!! Application open from November 1st - November 8th. Start dates March 14th - May 9th. 

Just accepted an offer with the NICU! ?♡ It seems that more offers are still going to roll out-- so don't lose hope! Best of luck xoxo

Congrats, best of luck to you on your career as a NICU nurse!! May I ask when did you receive an offer? Was it through a phone call or email?

Thanks so much! I received my offer letter via email & a phone call from UCD on Tuesday. But I ended up accepting it, yesterday.

Has anyone who interviewed + submitted references for the ORTP (operating room scrub/circulating nurse position) received either a final rejection or job offer?

Just accepted an offer for Patient Care Resources/ Float! Good luck to everyone else that is waiting to hear back.

ORTP has sent out decisions. I got an offer this afternoon.

Hi! Around what time did they contact you? And was it through phone call or email?

Hi! did you get an email about submitting references for ORTP after your interview?

Yes, I was told to submit references the day after my interview. The offer came in Friday, about 4pm, via both phone call and email.

I was wondering where you did your preceptorship and if you have any experience in the OR? I got an interview for the ORTP but didn’t get an email about submitting references so I don’t think I got it

Zero OR experience. For this cycle, if you get into ORTP, they are also offering an opportunity to start early in the unit as a nurse extern.

Did you do your preceptorship in the OR? Also, when you interviewed did you have your license already?
