Hey!

Just wanted to start this for anyone looking to apply to the 2020 cycle for UBC accelerated nursing. Let's share what we'll be applying with and any other info :).

So sorry to see this. I just received the rejection letter too. I had grades 1, Supp 2 & CASPer was a 3. I am so relieved to finally know, now I can also plan accordingly. Good luck with your masters!

did you get rejected or placed on waiting list? I'm surprised since it seems like you had a good application!

I just got my acceptance ? If it makes any difference my last name start with a C so perhaps I got emailed early?

For those that didn't get in my heart goes out to you! Wish all you lovely people all the best! If it is helpful here is my resume:
-83% average in last 30 credits (all from UBC)
-BC resident
-Arts degree from UBC
-worked for UBC as a clinical research assistant in the department of neurosurgery for several years, now currently work in a aesthetic medical clinic
-lots of volunteer work, but mostly with cats volunteering for VOKRA

Rejected. Thanks, I thought it would be competitive but I guess CASPer really killed me. It’s OK, I’ve been accepted to Langara and I still haven’t heard from Douglas.

Hi guys,

CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted and for those who didn't, please don't be discouraged! There are lots of people in their 30s, people who worked all kinds of jobs then decided on nursing, etc. in the upper cohort. It's never too late to start a nursing career!

For those on the waitlist, I heard that ~30 people from the waitlist got accepted on average in previous years, however, in my cohort I have met people who were in the 60s and got accepted! I can't guarantee how many people it will be this year but don't be too discouraged. I personally, got accepted in late July (I think) from the waitlist so admissions roll out very slowly haha. Don't worry too much and enjoy your break while you still have one :)

+I did get an update about my waitlist number I think around late June or early July
