Hi everybody! I haven't found an active discussion thread for September 2019 applicants to UBC's BSN program yet, so here is one!

Thank you! ? And 100% — I’d love to meet you guys before Nursing School starts!! We’ll definitely need a support network to get through the grueling curriculum together!

Yeah it was a common thing I saw people talking about on past CASPer forums! I didn’t think it was too difficult - the acting was so bad it made me laugh, and I giggled out loud a few times during some clips, with the webcam/supervisors watching me LOL

Yes!!! Definitely a celebration night in Van is needed. The application and waiting process is SO painful. Here’s hoping we all get in, and if not, we can help each other better our applications for the following year! Strength in numbers ?

3 weeks to go!

sent it to you!

when UBC says that it counts your last 30 credit units, does that mean it counts the last 10 credits you took in university?

Last 30 credit units from any designated post-secondary institution, be it college or university, from my understanding e.g. if your most recent pre-reqs at a college are 10 credits (up until December 2018), then they'll use the rest of the credits from your MOST RECENT university courses.

This is always the most stressful time of the process for sure (the waiting game)! I'm a current graduate from the UBC nursing program, so if any of you have any program specific questions, feel free to hit me up!

Congratulations on your graduation! If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA and experience?!

Personally, I had a degree in biochemistry, GPA 3.95/4.0, and a somewhat decent amount of volunteer experience (Ronald McDonald house for a few years, a hospital volunteer for a year, a rehab volunteer, and a few clubs at school.) But I didn't have any crazy experience like some did! The program is honestly SUCH a mix of people from various backgrounds both professionally and academically, and I don't understand the reasoning for why some get in and some don't. Just trust in your passion and experience ?
