UBC BSN September 2018 Applicants

Published

Hello fellow applicants!

I was browsing and did not see a thread for the 2018 UBC BSN applicants so thought I'd start one.

I am just finishing up my supplemental nursing application and hope to finish my application by the end of today and have already submitted my transcript. Just wanted to know who else is applying/GPA/past experiences with UBC/any tips or information for the application anyone wishes to share.

A bit about myself.. I am currently an LPN working at a hospital and also work part-time in retail in a leadership role, I do not have a Bachelor's degree but am applying anyways (hoping my supplemental weighs heavy in my favour). I have a GPA of 3.55 and will have ~30 credits at the end of this Fall term. I have some volunteer experience working with companies during their charity campaigns and am hoping to do more volunteer work this year. I will also be applying to BCIT, Langara and Queen's University once their applications open up.

Good luck to everyone and please share any information you're able too!

Got my acceptance letter just now!!!

I'm in shock, just got my acceptance letter! Congrats to the others that got in, and to those that didn't get the news they hoped for, don't give up, if it's your dream you will make it happen on this or one of the many other paths. Good luck everyone and thanks for all the support on here!

I'm too afraid to look!

I am 20th on waitlist. This is my THIRD attempt to get in. Don't give up!

For those of you who have gotten accepted congrats and join the Facebook group titled "UBC BSN Cohort 2018-2020"! For those of you on the waitlist, don't give up and stay positive!

I just got accepted as well! I can't seem to find that group... is it listed as secret?

just kidding, found it! :)

Hey everyone, I've been following this post for awhile and I also just got accepted! I can't find the Facebook group either.

Congrats to everyone accepted! I was accepted as well! I'm looking now for the facebook group!

Specializes in Acute Med.

I'm in! I got accepted!!! Oh the joy is true! Looking for the fb group... Got it!!!

To those who did not get an acceptance, don't give up! There are so many amazing opportunities and you are an amazing humans and have incredible potential no matter what some letter said. :)

I got my acceptance letter today too! Those of you on the wait-list, don't fret as I will not be accepting my UBC offer. I was debating between U of T and UBC, but I think I've made my decision. I feel like UBC took too long to get back to us (kind of left a sour taste in my mouth), so I don't have enough time to try to figure out the logistics of my move from out East. I also hear that finding a place to rent out can be super tough and expensive in Vancouver, especially for students!!! Good luck to the rest of you, we shall all be RNs eventually. :)
