For anyone who has applied to the UAMS BSN program that begins in Summer 2014 or anyone who is currently in and/or has completed the program. I have applied and am currently going through the process. UAMS has contacted me for an interview next week. Does anyone have any insight on this? Or those who wish to just discuss the program or wait out the acceptance process feel free to join in.
It says if you are off campus to call tech support to set up your password and access the portal, email, and blackboard for the first time. That is what I did; the tech support people were very nice and got me set right up. When you call it gives you the option to use the automated system or a live person and I opted for the actual individual.
I'm definitely more excited than nervous; however, I'm probably more nervous about little things. For example, I've never worked in a hospital setting so the first time I see a really bad open wound or something that looks really, for lack of a better term right now, disgusting I don't want to be the person who vomits or gets sick from the sight. I'm hoping this is just my imagination and it won't be that extreme but for some reason I thinking I'll be the ONE person who can't handle it like a professional.
Besides that I'm okay I think.
Does anyone know how the financial aid/tuition payments will work?
Will our tuition be automatically withdrawn from our financial aid award and THEN we get a refund or do we get the award payment sent to our account and then we pay our tuition. It's so confusing because they say our deadline to pay is May 28th but I haven't received my award into my account.
I've been wondering the same thing. There's a lot of confusion I have about this upcoming summer session so I hope orientation will put an end to everyone's confusion lol!
I don't think I'm nervous about the gross stuff, I'm more nervous about the little stuff you can't control lol. I just hope and pray it goes well for all of us and that we make it to the fall session in one piece!
Study groups will have to be a must! I think the more we all stick together and help each other out the better everyone will do. Some focus and study better in a group, and some don't, but if we find a middle ground I think it'll be worth it!!

I may need to email her and just verify that she has it all.
