Hi, I just wanted to start a conversation for the 2017 nursing applicants at Ualr. It's a long wait until April. We can keep each other updated during the wait.
Thank you...it was fustrating until i figured everything fall into place at the right time and I know maybe i just belong elsewhere..maybe i need a break this summer because i live an hour away from the school now so driving is starting to burn me out..i plan on moving close in a month though. I meet with the advising yesterday and got a booklet so right now in order to jump on in the door i have to apply for the PN program..basically im just worn down with taking all these courses. Anything can change from now until next spring or fall so im going for the PN program at baptist with a friend..since i have all courses basically and it just will help me with getting in the program more..im basically need to retake A&P for which is why i cant go into the RN until Spring..because mines do not transfer.
I took a combined A&P I and II course when i first began Nursing at Seark College of Pine Bluff..so I have applied to UALRwhen i was hoping to get accepted for the summer nursing program, however i dont think im going to take classes until the fall..im definitely preparing to attend Baptist...I will update my acceptance once I get the good news..i can actually also go back to the RN program in Pinebluff because i did not fail the program, i was just forced to withdraw and start over..but im not sure i want to go through that ordeal again
Yes they let you know by email..i was emailed the first week of April that i did not get in..and i cant until i get a Nursing degree...ðŸ˜Good luck and congrats to all who has been accepted it seems like a very nice program..wouldve loved to have tried to attend this program form the beginning of my choices..rules and policys i tell ya!!I keep having this feeling in the back of my head that hey someone mayy not show or something and they may just feel a lil sympathy for me and call me to attend..lol!!!

Hi future Nurses, I am student pursuing for a degree in Nursing for quite some time now..I have been on this journey since 2011.when i first began I started to get my foot in the door for the LPN track. Unfortunately i didnt pass my second semester. I took a break and just began last year getting accepted for the second time into the RN program in Pine Bluff.. my fiirst acceptances in 2015 didnt enter due to not passing C.Algebra..Well i figure this was my year the fall of 2016.. BUT NO..another let down, i HAD to withdraw in November before my last two test and final due to a 3 test fail policy..yeah!pretty messed up..I applied to UALR as well, after attending the pre advising in December HOPING TO ATTEND A PLACE I SHOULDVE INVESTED IN FROM THE GET GO..SO WITH MY TWO ENTRIES, being a policy rule at UALR i was DENIED!!!! I waited like you all did and prayed they would over look my second entry and i was told that the lpn i failed 5 years ago wouldnt possibly count but it did..i figured i woild be wait listed..unfortunately i wasnt..good luck to you all on your journeys.. now im still searching to find my way with the negatives on my back.... and because i took a risk to go back to the school i had thought would be better for me, since i have all my pre reqs done on their campus,.However new policies changed and new rules were added..Moreover, its now known to be a "WEEDOUT PROGRAM" ..shouldve been more careful..had i known i wouldnt risked a second entry there AT ALL!
But to those who were denied..cheer up..I think baptist will take us..lol!!!I GOT MY DUCKS LINED IN TO APPLY FOR THE FALL OR SPRING..SUPER COOL CAMPUS AT BAPTIST BY THE WAY...
