I plan on applying for the ADN progam at UALR soon. I am a nervous reck. I know there are more people applying than spots available. I have about 96 quality points. I made an 84 on my evolve exam. I have a 3.5 gpa. I have taken most of my Support Courses except Chemistry and Microbiology. I am taking Micro in the spring and have to repeat chemistry b/c I made a D in it about 10 years ago. I'm scared that chemistry will ruin my chances. I have a prior bachelors degree. I was just wondering what shot do I have of getting in the program.
I think you are good considering Chem is a co-requisite and you are eligible to enroll in Algebra. My husband is being transferred back to AR, yay, so scheduling my hesi and waiting for the results at the last minute was my problem. Hopefully that doesn't seal my fate. lol. I have all of my pre and co-requisites done except Micro and Chem with a 3.4 gpa and all As in the specific classes for this program, so we will see. Anyhow, if anyone has not checked their facebook page, this is what it says: The Department of Nursing will be sending out emails of acceptance, rejection and wait list throughout this week. Check the email address you put on the application. Thanks and good luck...it's a very competitive year!
That is awesome! I do have a C on my classes and a D in History but I am retaking that currently as well. They say that they will update and reevaluate grades after the Spring semester is over. Not quite sure how that changes the waiting list structure. My GPA is a 3.23 and I am doing well in Micro so I am hoping that helps if I am wait listed. Thanks for the info:)
Hey guys, congrats to everyone that's gotten their letters. They do send them in batches, so don't worry if you didn't get one yet. I'm not sure how many they send at once, but once they get the acceptance/declines, they will send out more until they get enough acceptances. I think they had 200 in the May class. Then they offered a second intro class in July that had 59. That's the one I was in and I got my acceptance email just a week before. I had actually figured I was wait listed since I didn't hear anything before that.
