UALR Nursing Program Applicant 2014

I plan on applying for the ADN progam at UALR soon. I am a nervous reck. I know there are more people applying than spots available. I have about 96 quality points. I made an 84 on my evolve exam. I have a 3.5 gpa. I have taken most of my Support Courses except Chemistry and Microbiology. I am taking Micro in the spring and have to repeat chemistry b/c I made a D in it about 10 years ago. I'm scared that chemistry will ruin my chances. I have a prior bachelors degree. I was just wondering what shot do I have of getting in the program.

Thanks everybody for the posts. When I started this post I had no ideal it would turn into this, but I'm glad I started it. I will add yall on facebook too.

Well thanks to orientation I am oobbberrrrr excited and very shocked about all the financial barriers of supplies test and kits!!! OMG! I'm going to have to rack up on these scholarships for sure !

Alright everyone, I created a facebook group but the admin said I am not allowed to post links in this forum. Therefore, to join the UALR facebook group (where we will post reminders, share study guides, ask questions, etc.), please go to facebook and search for "UALR Nursing Class 2014 (Entering)." I made a "group" instead of a "page" because the group had more options available that I feel would best serve our purpose. If you have any questions, let me know. :)

If you go to Griffey's Uniform Store on Markham, they have the sphygmomanometers for $23. They have stethoscopes starting at $30. I got an ADC 615 stethoscope off Amazon for $50, and it works really well. I didn't like that they made it seem like you had to have a littman. Amazon has a bunch for cheaper with free shipping with good reviews, so check those out if you don't already have one.

I am super excited! When is y'all's clinical day? Mine is Wednesday.

I joined the group. @cocoahunny yes it is expensive. sheesh. Well I have financial aid for the summer b/c I didn't use any during fall spring. I'm hoping I can get my refund check in July and get all those immunizations and CPR. I wish they would have told us to bring our debit card today. I wasn't prepared to even think about purchasing a stethoscope or joining NSA.

If you do get a Littman, get it engraved. They have a tendency to "walk off" in the hospital setting. Allheart will engrave it for you cheap if you buy from them.
