UAB Summer 2014

I've been lurking here, looking to see if anyone would be starting a thread on the UAB MSN cohort for Summer 2014. Nobody has yet, so I'm doing it!

Application deadline is October 28th! Is anyone else applying to start next summer? I've applied to the WHNP program, and have gnawed my fingernails down to nubs over it.

I hope you're right TheMolly! I happen to have my mailman's personal cell number. Haha. He gets to my house at 5 pm and my bf was tired of me griping about that so he flagged him down one day so we could chat about his late arrival. He was so nice! He knew I was joking and not trying to interfere with his duties. Lol. At any rate, he said I could call at any time of I had an emergency piece of mail. I think this constitutes! His wife is an RN also. He knows I'm waiting to hear from grad schools! Hahaha...

I'm guessing we're not going to be mailed packets until our paperwork has been processed through the system. Don't you think? Which means we're probably going to be able to access BlazerNET before we receive any mail from them. Which means I'm going to keep checking obsessively! But I'm definitely going to quit bugging IT.

All I know is IT says they don't recognize me in one breath and then they say I need to call IT in another. In the meantime the website is saying I do have an "alias." I keep checking to make sure I do have a blazerID and I do. Just still can't log in.

ScaryKarrey- Did they tell you that you wouldn’t be able to see anything on Blazernet until the paper was processed? How knows what that really means though. I think today is the earliest that we might see anything in the mail. I have gone over on the left side menu where you went to register ect , and there is an option that says, “Activate Account”. When I login there it let’s me in and says my account it recognized, but I am limited on what I can see at this point. I discovered this last night while my patients where sleeping! TEE HEE! Anyways, I go back to my original theory, why would they put us in a system to create an account if we were not accepted? Clearly it is after the 30 day deadline, and we all started being able to create the accounts about the time they said we would start hearing from them. Stay positive. The wait is almost over!

Yes. Someone from OneStop responded to an email and said I wouldn't be able to access BlazerNet until I am officially admitted. The IT person I spoke with yesterday morning said that I am "preadmitted", and that she could see that I had been admitted, but that my paperwork hadn't finished being processed yet, and that I wouldn't be able to log into BlazerNet until that's all gone through.

I can access the MyUAB site too by logging in, but it's for undergraduate admissions rather than graduate, so I haven't done anything with it.

Yea, that all seems reasonable. I got on that too. That site is worthless. I will be super excited to finally get the paper! Thanks for the response! And congrats in advance!!! lol

Somebody needs to advise me on where. Y'all are going to look at stuff. Are you using your blazerID and password you created? Oh, I have my iPad on my lunch break. Hahaha
