UAB MSN Summer 2020

Hello!

I wanted to start a page for anyone hoping to get accepted into the UAB MSN Summer 2020 program. What specialties are you applying to in the MSN program? What's your clinical background?

So I've read in past conversations on this site that it typically takes about six weeks for them to come to a decision. I wonder if the extended due date pushes that back another week? That would put the decisions being made on the first week of December. Ah the wait is torture!!!

I emailed UAB with a similar question and decisions will be mailed via the post office in "first part of December". ??

Oh of course. I hate that the decision date has been pushed back. Maybe there weren't a lot of applicants, which I think will work in our favor.

I had the same thought! I really wish I had found their program months ago so I could start in the spring.

Hey! I applied to the AGACNP program as well for the Summer 2020 session. All people who wrote my recommendations had a lot of trouble uploading them so I figured that's why they extended the deadline.

Hello everyone,

I applied for the AGACNP/RNFA program. This wait is killer since they extended the deadline!! Looking back at previous threads about a week or so before you receive your letter you can log in to blazernet and create an ID with your SSN and birthday and it will have your track if you have been accepted. I don't know if it really works or not but for those of us who are impatient, it's worth a try! lol.

Hello everyone,

I applied for the PMHNP AND FNP program as a second choice. I was apple to get a Banner ID today but it gives me an error when I try to make the Blazer ID. I checked my application on the undergrad side. It says view graduate application status. I am thinking I am out, since it says my application was inactivated. Had anyone else been able to create a Banner or Blazer ID? Good luck to you all!

Have you looked on the application dashboard? Mine says..."Your application checklist is complete and your materials have been sent to the department for review."

That was what mine says as well. I was really wondering if anyone else had tried the Banner ID trick yet and what the outcome was? I am just getting antsy. The waiting is the worst part. I am ready for it to be over. I am not sure if I have another application left in me. I am tired of wasting money on them to be rejected.

My dashboard still says sent to the department for review. I could make a “banner ID” but it gives me an error when I try to use it to login, I’m thinking it still to early unfortunately!
