Hello Everyone,

I wanted to start this thread for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) MSN program Fall 2019 applicants. We can use this thread to keep track of the application process, GPA, application deadlines and acceptance or denial letters. Also as a way to stay sane during this stressful time. Support each other during this journey to become an Advanced Pracrice Provider.

I am applying for Fall 2019 MSN Psych Program for PMHNP. I finish my BSN in May 2019 and have my ASN with a GPA of 3.76. My GPA for the BSN should be 4.0 if all stays the same grade wise. My letters of reccomendation are from the program director ar my University, a member of the Faculty team and the Nursing Director of the Surgical Services Department at my workplace. My application letter is APA formatted with at least 3 references and close to 800 word count. Application deadline for the PMHNP track is Febraury 21, 2019.

What specialty track are you all applying to? What are yor GPA scores. Do you plan on taking the GRE? Share any thoughts.

When you click on “view your decision” does it give you the option to “reply to offer” or does it just say “close”?

Mine says "close" This comment makes me nervous, did I not get in ????

I’m actually asking for my husband. His says the same thing. He was accepted last year but had to decline because we had a newborn and I was finishing my MSN. He applied for the summer 2019 term and didn’t get in. So, we applied again for the fall 2019 term. When he was accepted, he had the option to “reply to the offer” but we can’t remember when we checked his blazer account. Hopefully, this option isn’t available yet ....

Mine says the same thing and it let me start another application ?

Before when I took the NCLEX we knew we had passed because it wouldn’t let us sign up to re-rest, so I tried just now to start another application and it let me...wondering if it works the same way as the test ?

Like I chose the drop down boxes for MSN FNP and hit start application and it did ?

Well, hopefully it doesn’t mean that. They may not have given the option to respond until later, after the letters were received.

Hey guys,

While we are all running around like chickens, the difference that I've noticed from the decision letter page is that some people's page allows them to apply again, while others does not. Mine does not have the option to apply again.

Nope, just see “close.”

Boo, Maybe that means I did not get in, It allows me to reapply

It could be the complete opposite, hopefully we will find out soon! Stay positive.

My friend got accepted last year and his letter said the same thing and he was able to apply again. Hope that help ease some people’s anxiety. I know it helped mine lol

I’m glad you said that because after reading TJAWRN ‘s post, I was getting ready to start applying for a different career; although like I’ve said, my GPA was weakkkkkk ? so I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t get in.

I certainly was not trying to discourage you guys, only compare differences! Hopefully we all get in!
