  1. I know this is an older thread, but I’m curious if anyone has completed any trainings (particularly Botox and fillers)? If so, would you mind giving any feedback? Would you recommend the training company you used? Did it help you to enter the field of aesthetics? Thanks so much for any feedback you can provide!!
  2. I'm sorry that you didn't get in. I am trying to get to where you saw the decision. But, it keeps taking me to the applicant dashboard. Can you please tell me how you got to this page?
  3. Well, hopefully it doesn’t mean that. They may not have given the option to respond until later, after the letters were received.
  4. When you click on “view your decision” does it give you the option to “reply to offer” or does it just say “close”? I’m actually asking for my husband. His says the same thing. He was accepted last year but had to decline because we had a newborn and I was finishing my MSN. He applied for the summer 2019 term and didn’t get in. So, we applied again for the fall 2019 term. When he was accepted, he had the option to “reply to the offer” but we can’t remember when we checked his blazer account. Hopefully, this option isn’t available yet ....

  6. I apologize if this was already addressed. In your opinion, how long do you think a CRNA can safely practice? I understand this is dependent upon several factors and is very individualized. But, for someone whom maintains their physical and mental health, what is a realistic age someone can expect to be able to perform this type of work? I am completing my FNP now but am asking on behalf of my husband? At what age is "too old" to transition into this specialty? Again, I understand that it is all relevant...just asking for your opinion, based upon your experience. Thank you:-)
  7. Thank you for creating this thread and being so willing to share your thoughts and experiences. My husband and I are both RN's. I am two semesters away from earning my ARNP degree. My husband was accepted into the acute care NP program with a fall start. He has been interested in the CRNA Program ever since he became a nurse, over ten years ago. His hesitation the last two years is if it is worth the sacrifice. As we now have a three year old and a three month old. If he chooses the CRNA route, I will likely have to work full-time and it will require childcare for our little ones (which we were hoping to avoid). Also, my husband just turned 43. Our other concern is whether or not it would be financially advantageous to attend CRNA school at this point Thank you for your feedback:-)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience!! This is similar to what I was thinking, however without actual travel experience, I wasn't sure. I truly appreciate the feedback:-)

Hi all, My husband and I are considering traveling after I finish my NP degree. At the earliest it would be January 2019 but possibly March 2019. We are considering purchasing an RV, my husband would work while I stayed with our two small children. It would be for both the experience and the money. My husband has been an ICU nurse for approximately 9-10 years. He is considering transferring to the OR for the experience. We have researched and it looks like the OR makes a considerable amount more than the ICU specialty. He would need to transfer fairly soon in order to gain the experience to be able to travel in the next 1-1 1/2 years. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? My other question is whether or not you are required to take call as a traveler in the OR? Thanks so much for any help you can provide!!
  10. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!! I too chose nursing as a second career (actually third degree). I have been working as a nurse though, while in NP school. I have 15 credits until graduation....woohoo!! If I read your information correctly, it looks as though you waited a year until you started your job search. Is this correct? My husband, also a nurse, and I have strongly been considering traveling with our children, one toddler now and one due the end of March, after I graduate from NP school. He would work and I would stay with the little ones. One of my biggest concerns is not applying for positions immediately. Could you share any thoughts on this? Thanks so much!! And good luck with your interviews!!

Thanks for the help!! We will probably be traveling with our dog, but not guaranteed.

Thanks so much for your response and your tips!! I am just having a hard time getting on board the RV travel idea. My dad has done it for years with his work and I know it's a perfect way to travel for a lot of people but maybe not for our situation. We started discussing last night the possibility of traveling and renting a house. Can you tell me how likely it is to get an assignment in a location then be in that vicinity, let's say a 45 mile radius, for a few assignments? Also, is it difficult to find housing on your own without using the agency assigned housing??

Hello all, My husband are contemplating traveling. I've wanted to do it ever since I started nursing school, but the time just hasn't been right. We are at a crossroads now and just wanted to get some opinions from those of you whom have experience in this area, please. Here are some of the logistics....from what we are thinking, if we do it. We have a two year old son and live in Florida. My husband wants in 100%, wants to buy an RV, sell our house and take assignments out west....California to start. He would be the one working, while I stayed with our little one. I would probably fly back once a month to remain PRN at the hospital where I currently work. This would also give us the opportunity for us to see family. Even though I would love to take this adventure, I have several hesitations.... We want to have another baby soon. And I don't know how the insurance works. We would have to have coverage, there's no way I would feel comfortable without a good plan. Also, I'm in graduate school (Family Nurse Practicioner). I won't be starting clinicals until August of 2018. Then, we would either come home or if we know we will be in a certain area, I could try to do them in that vicinity. It also makes me nervous to go in debt (buying an RV and bigger truck), travel to make more money to pay off this newly acquired debt. But, the hubs thinks an RV is the way to go, having our own space and making it feel like home, especially since the little one and I will be spending more time in it. Our main reasons for traveling.... Make more money; More importantly, be able to make new memories/experiences together, seeing different parts of the country (especially before we build our forever home). We're worried if we don't do it now, we may not have this opportunity again. I know this was was a long post, sorry:-( But, I would greatly appreciate any feedback!! Thanks so much!!
  14. I am a student nurse and I appreciate all of you nurses that are pleasant and helpful working with us. I am in my first clinical rotation and I must say that the nurses on our floor have not made our first experience in the hospital pleasant. We realize that it must be inconvenient for the nurses to have us there, but we are eager, polite and helpful. We just want to learn as much as possible. We are looking forward to our next rotation and are hopeful that this next experience will be better:-)
