UAB Fall 2016

Published

Hey everyone. I have applied to the Acute/Primary Peds NP program at UAB for fall 2016. I am currently driving myself crazy as I wait for my acceptance letter!! I figured I would write this post to see if anyone else wanted to be crazy with me while we wait!

I was able to log in to blazernet. Samy, I also got into the psych mental health program.

So I also panicked and tried to re-register for a Blazernet ID. This time it let me get to the point where I could activate my account. It said I was in the school of nursing but for some reason wouldn't let me access student services. I called IT support to see what was going on and they told me "it's because you were only admitted as a student yesterday. You should have full access by Monday." OMG I got in!!!!!! Acute and Primary Peds NP in 2019!!! Congrats to everyone else who has found out!

I've been trying that for a while. It says that I've already registered one, but when I look to see if I have one it only shows my name with letters and numbers. i'm thinking this is bad news.

Yeah, same here. I'm thinking it's bad news. *sigh*

Please remain hopeful. They may still be working on it. Those of us who found out today just got lucky.

Sooo I tried calling IT and the guy asked are you a student or employee. I told him I'm an employee and used to have access but that I had recently applied for graduate school then proceeded to tell me maybe you are not officially a student yet.... I'm so nervous

Has anyone else waiting applied to the AGPCNP w/women's health subspecialty??

Specializes in Rheumatology, Infusion.

I did without the sub specialty

So I just read all the other posts and created a BlazerNet Account and found out I am accepted into the PMHNP program. Thanks to everyone who offered assistance navigating the system! Congratulations to all those who found out today! I'm hopeful that the rest will also be accepted!

Looks like I got into psych to :) There seems to be a lot us here for that speciality. Anyone know how difficult program is?

One of my friends is in her 2nd to the last semester for PMHNP. She said the worst semesters are the first two and after that it's not too bad. It becomes a lot more enjoyable when you start studying what you want to specialize in. She said it's definitely not easy and that working 36 hours a week, studying and doing clinicals has been exhausting but if you stay organized, it is doable.

Everyone knows psych np is the easiest program to get into and the easiest to graduate from just like psych nursing is the easiest area for RNs. Brainiacs go for CRNA or Acute care NP.
