UAB AMNP Spring 2014

Hey everyone! I have found this site useful in the past and thought I would finally post on here. I have applied for UABs AMNP program for January. If accepted, I will be an out-of-state student, and it's going to be kind of expensive so I want all information I can get. If anyone is in this program or has spoken to someone in the program I'd like to hear some feedback. Also, I have heard mixed things about job outlook. Anyone have thought or experience with that? Any comments will be helpful! I also applied to the 2nd Degree BSN as a back up if I change my mind or am not accepted to the AMNP program.

Congrats to all accepted! I received my acceptance email this afternoon as well! [: Tried to find the FB group, but couldn't figure out how to search for groups... anyone know how to search by group name?

Looks like posting to this forum gave us all good luck! I'm glad that so many of us were accepted into the program. I'm also having difficulty finding the FB group. Any ideas? I wish links could be posted :/

Sorry, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I just changed the group to open, so it should be findable. If you can find me, then I will add you. If anyone else wants to try to make a fb group that functions, you won't hurt my feelings haha

No worries! I found the Facebook group by searching your name and then looking to see what groups you were in (total stalker status), but at least I found it, lol! I'm Kay, by the way. So if anyone else is having issues, try searching for one of us already in the group, and then look for the group from our pages. I'm sure the initial trouble was from the group being newly created. I am sure it will begin popping up on search soon, if not already.

I finally found the group. I also had to search for your profile to find it. I sent you a PM so you know who I am on facebook!

Hi all congrats to everyone who has been accepted! Good luck to you all.

I had an interview but unfortunately was denied yesterday :cry: Would anyone accepted be willing to share their pre-req GPA, cumulative GPA, and how much healthcare or volunteer experience? I want to make my application stronger for the AMNP program next year and this would really help me out!
