UAB AMNP Cohort 2018 Applicants

Hello Everyone,

I created this discussion for those of us who are applying to the AMNP program for 2018 to ask questions, share information, etc.

How do the specialties work? I understand that you pick two and then the program will allow you to follow one track. Is the selection of your specialty based on your performance in the program, the needs of the local area, the space of the specialty when taking into account the BSN-prepared nurses applying, etc....?

past threads suggest that applicants selected for interviews will be notified sometime in october and the interviews are typically scheduled in november and many applicants are offered admission on the spot if the interview goes well.

Hello! My name is Tabrisha. I am from the current cohort. I will be helping with interviews on Halloween. Also I may be looking for a roommate in December. If anyone is interested please feel free to reach out after you all have been notified of acceptance! I am clean and I will probably be working days at UAB. Lol
