UA MEPN 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone,

I'm considering MEPN application to the UofA next year. I've been in touch with the advisor, Chris Sogge, for the past 3 years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Biology from Canada . Chris said that I need a pre-req GPA of 3.7 at least to get into the program; mine is 3.3. Do I stand any chances? Did anyone get in with lower pre-req grades? I'm trying to juggle pre-req taking with a toddler. Thanks so much for your advice!

Has everyone registered for classes? I was looking at the book list and it looks like they are all online/etexts?

I've registered today.
I see three books and they all seem to be online.

Have you guys ordered your scrubs?
I wonder if the sizing charts are true. esp since we cannot exchange them.
They are charging for shipping although there was an announcement about free shipping until 4/6. =/

Is anyone else still having issues accessing the UAccess Learning? I'm getting an error message when I go to register for the HIPAA learning and unable to locate the bloodborne learning when I search for it.

I had to email risk management and ask them to enroll me in Bloodborne pathogen, the email address I communicated with is-----------------------. I could only do the module on Firefox. The HIPAA course I had to access via the link in the pdf. https://learning.uaccess.arizona.edu/psp/uazelprd/EMPLOYEE/ELM/c/LM_CURRICULUM.LM_PRG_DTLS_ESS.GBL?LM_PRG_ID=1011

I'm confused with the booklist. On the webinar, they said the books are going to be charged to our account, but there are only three online books listed. Does that mean we search and buy the rest?

@Larissaarianna
That was a list I could see when I was registering for classes. After that point, they sent out a comprehensive book list for all levels through your school e-mail.

Hi! Yes, I recieved the email, but is it up to us to search and buy the books sent via email on our own or will they eventually be charged to our account later. I hope my question makes more sense?

I see what you are asking. My understanding was that you buy your own books from the bookstore. I'm positive but not a hundred % sure.

I would ask these questions on the facebook page as it is being monitored by current students that will have more information for you. From what I understand, you have to buy all your own books, either from the bookstore or other sources. I am in contact with the MSO President who is trying to get us some more tips on purchasing books.

@MamaJess20 How did you get in contact with the MSO president? Could you message me her email please? I've been trying to get in contact with MSO but I haven't been able to.

Yes! I ordered my scrubs a few months ago and I don’t think they are really true to those sizes listed but I do think they are true to the inches measurements listed. So use the measurements but don’t worry too much about the size range. Also don’t forget to order the correct pant length they have different lengths for petite, regular, and tall!

Help! I am still not able to complete the Bloodborne Pathogens course. I’ve literally tried all the browsers and still no luck! What am I doing wrong?
