Hey guys I know we have months before the application due date but I have just recently decided that I am going to apply for UA's MEPN program. I'm currently finishing up microbiology and will finish off my prerequisites once I complete organic chemistry in the fall. I am extremely excited and also nervous to be applying. I still have to take the HESI so if you guys can offer any tips on how to prepare for it especially the vocab section that'd be great! Does anyone know how many apply vs are accepted and the stats of those who are usually accepted into the program? Also I'd greatly appreciate any insight on how the program is from students that have graduated from the program or current students of the program. Thanks!

I'm also considering MEPN application - I've been in touch with the advisor, Chris Sogge, for the past 3 years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Biology from Canada . Chris said that I need a pre-req GPA of 3.7 at least to get into the program; mine is 3.3. Do I stand any chances? Did anyone get in with lower pre-req grades? I'm trying to juggle pre-req taking with a toddler. Thanks so much for your advice!
Marina.
Maybe retaking prerequisites would make you more competitive. Also, there is at least one other program in Ticson to earn a master's degree if you have a non-nursing bachelor's degree, in case you are interested.
Thank you very much for your replies. I have a non-nursing bachelor's and a master's in biology, both earned in Canada. I have 10 years of work experience as a software engineer in a hospital molecular biology research lab, not clinical, not with patients. My undergrad was earned in 2004 and my masters was earned in 2015 - are they outdated? Also, araew2129, I'd love to hear about the other masters program in Tucson you mentioned - could you please tell me about it? Thank you guys so much for your advice!
Marina.
@gingerbraid The other program is a concurrent enrollment between Pima Community College and Grand Canyon University. I will PM you some info.

I have heard there is no way of knowing, however keep us posted if you hear anything different! Waiting by the phone for a spot to open up is the worst!!!
