UA MEPN 2018

Published

Hey everyone! I know the application deadline is a ways off, but I just wanted to get a forum started for those of us who plan on applying to the MEPN program for 2018! I have all my prerequisites finished and just have to take the HESI. I already took the TEAS for some other schools and scored very well, so I'm not too concerned about HESI as I hear it is a much easier exam without any science content required by UA. Has anyone already taken it? What did you think and how did you prepare? My last 60 units GPA is a 3.80 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.96. I'm a little nervous about the interview as I have heard in the past it is very short- about ten minutes of talking time. I'll have to figure out how to eloquently but succinctly express my preparation for nursing school and interest in the field. Good luck everyone!!

I called a few days ago and was told that they received approximately 250-300 applications this cycle. They granted approximately 150 interviews and they have seats for 114 students between Tucson and the Phoenix location.

That sounds accurate.

Hello! I am part of the current Cohort! I am hope that the interviewing process is going well! For those of you in need of a place to stay please feel free to message me on here! I am renting out a bedroom:) I look forward to getting to meet you all!

For those of you who interviewed in person, did they give you a timeline of when decisions will be sent out?

How does everyone feel after their interview? Does anyone feel like they have it in the bag or is everyone just holding their breath until they send out the emails confirming placement?

Good luck everyone!!!

Definitely holding my breath. All of the other applicants I talked to before the interview were so amazing, I don't know how they are going to narrow it down!

Hopefully they send out notifications early. This wait is making me more nervous everyday.

Did anyone send thank you emails/cards?

I didn't - I thought about it but it felt weird - did you?

I have not yet... I was not sure if that would be weird or not.

I felt good about my responses but i felt the whole interview was a bit awkward so it made me second guess everything! So nervous about getting a response!

Ah! I feel I'm lower on the rank with a lower HESI score in the 80's... I know I could do better if I took it again. I feel the interview went well, but truly have no idea. I can't wait to hear back!

Last year they interviewed on a Saturday and heard back on a Wednesday, so I'm hoping we hear back early too, before Monday! :)
