UA MEPN 2018

Published

Hey everyone! I know the application deadline is a ways off, but I just wanted to get a forum started for those of us who plan on applying to the MEPN program for 2018! I have all my prerequisites finished and just have to take the HESI. I already took the TEAS for some other schools and scored very well, so I'm not too concerned about HESI as I hear it is a much easier exam without any science content required by UA. Has anyone already taken it? What did you think and how did you prepare? My last 60 units GPA is a 3.80 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.96. I'm a little nervous about the interview as I have heard in the past it is very short- about ten minutes of talking time. I'll have to figure out how to eloquently but succinctly express my preparation for nursing school and interest in the field. Good luck everyone!!

I received an interview for the 17th at 10:00am!

I received an invite to interview Saturday February 17th at 10:15am online.

I'm the 17th at 9:30 am. I'm glad the interviews are 20 min now!

Is anyone planning on doing any practice interviews or other interview prep?

I got the email for an interview on the 17th at 10:30 am! What do you think they mean in the email when they say "Interviews will be 20 minutes long, and will consist of two applicants..." are two of us really going to be interviewed at the same time? Is this common?

Also, did everyone already complete their fingerprint clearance card or is everyone rushing to get them done now like me?

I'm so excited, good luck everyone!

I am! I don't want to sounds like I've memorized interview questions and answers but I do want to make sure I'm comfortable with being asked about myself and I don't say something silly or unfortunate just because I'm nervous.

I am trying to do my finger print clearance card now but it is so unclear about the process if you are out of state! Has anyone done theirs who doesn't live in AZ?

Yes, this is very common for interviews. If you do the Skype interview it will be 10 minutes long by yourself and the interview committee. If you do it in person it is 20 minutes and someone else will also be interviewing with you. I did the Skype when I interviewed so I do not know if you get the same questions if you do the dual interview.

Ladies, what do you plan to wear for the interview? A suit, or slacks and a nice blouse?

For those who have received an email who was it from? Admissions? an advisor? I still havent gotten a response yet and im getting nervous!

Who is your email from? I am afraid i may have overlooked an email from U of A?

It should come from an email.arizona.edu account. I know hotmail accounts have had trouble receiving email from this address in the past. Also I believe they send out an email whether you get an interview or not. You should call tomorrow morning.
