U of M, fall 2014 LSON BSN

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hello!!!!! I created this forum of all of us that will be grinding hard at LSON for the fall.. so whenever there's questions or comments , we could always ask each other.... feel free to post updates, questions, etc........ Good luck everyone!!!!!

I actually moved to TN a few years ago so my shot records are looong gone. Lol. Ill just have to find a primary care provider I guess :-p

Wow sherry that's awesome! What a good hubby

I just called the Health Dept. and it's gonna cost me upwards of $200 for all the shots.

Did you find out if they do titers? That might be cheaper... Or maybe you could call your previous states' health dept for records?

After some talking I learned I can get each shot for $20 bucks since my insurance doesn't cover immunizations! yay!

On another note, has everyone started their CPR classes yet? I just signed up for the one at the U of M on the 19th, but that seems so far away..

I took CPR/BLS a year ago after I got my first acceptance packet (long story.. I had a baby and put off ns for a year) from a lady in Southaven. CPR 2 Go, I think? The sheet for her was in the packet that semester. It was an awesome class done in her home, and we got our cards the same day instead of having to wait for them like the U of M classes.

I'm glad you can get shots done at a reasonable price! Yay! :)

That's awesome that you took off for a year and are still determined as ever! Congrats on your little one! I'll have an almost 2 and 4 year old once the program starts myself! Did you have to reapply or did they hold a spot for you?

I saw the CPR to go! Unfortunately none of the times fit my schedule. Hopefully it doesn't take the CPR cards too long to arrive from the U of M one.

I did have to reapply. Thankfully it still worked out. :) it's good to see other mamas going through the program, too!

I'll bet you could call her and set up a different time - I ended up taking a class that wasn't even on the sheet. She's extremely flexible. :) but maybe the u of m class is better as far as scheduling goes - and you still have 5 months to get the card, anyway. :)

Pulled some strings and will be able to do the CPR class this sat with CPR to go! woohoo! She said there will be some other U of M students there so hopefully I'll see some of you all

I'll be glad to get all this out the way now

2 nurses and a manikin also does one day classes. . Very cheap ...yall should check them out!!!

Only got immunizations and physical left to complete. :-)

I was there!
