U of M, fall 2014 LSON BSN

Hello!!!!! I created this forum of all of us that will be grinding hard at LSON for the fall.. so whenever there's questions or comments , we could always ask each other.... feel free to post updates, questions, etc........ Good luck everyone!!!!!

I had my physical done 2 weeks ago, and I'm still waiting on them to call me to pick up the form I left there - the blood results apparently haven't come back yet. I think I'll call today, because last time it only took a week. I neeeeeeed to know my schedule, and today is the first day of registration! Even though it doesn't matter when we register, I'm STILL getting excited about actually doing it. :)

All I have left to do is get the results of my TB skin test! Yeahhh! Oh and waiting for my background check to come back! :-)

Physicals are 30 bucks at Doctor's Express on Poplar. And the whole kit and kaboodle of shots is $120 at the health dept. IF you don't have health insurance.

Shannon, I would just go pick it up if they're taking too long. I'm pretty sure the blood tests are optional. My doc just put a line through it.

Regarding ordering scrubs, does anyone know how to know which size to get? I'm a size 6 in jeans on a good day...lol

I went to Landau and tried on scrubs before I ordered from them. They're a lot bigger than I expected, so I'm glad I tried them on first - I'm a size 4/6 and ended up getting the XS scrub pants and top. I may have to have them hemmed too... I'm 5'4" and they seem so long! Maybe with the thick soles on my shoes they'll be okay, but they're really dragging the ground otherwise. Lol

I'm just waiting on my background check to get back. But I looked on myMemphis acct and it says I can't register for classes until the 14th anyway.. :-(

It makes it so real and exciting and terrifying! LOL I have 3 full days at school and 2 days when I don't have class until 2:30 and then 3:30 so those will be my major study days.

I'm going to try to make it so I don't study when I'm home with my kids unless they're asleep. So I'll be putting in a lot of study time at school.
