U of M, fall 2014 LSON BSN

Published

Hello!!!!! I created this forum of all of us that will be grinding hard at LSON for the fall.. so whenever there's questions or comments , we could always ask each other.... feel free to post updates, questions, etc........ Good luck everyone!!!!!

16mm did you ever get a primary care doctor?

I decided to wait since I heard that we could utilize the campus health center at U of M to get a lot of the stuff done at a more affordable cost. So I'm going to see what they say tonight

I'll see you all at 3pm today. I'll be wearing black pants, black/white striped fly collar blouse, black leather boots, eyeglasses, and hair pulled back into a bun. Feel free to say, "Hi Sheryl Trammell!" :-)

Due to an unforeseen complication, the location for today’s Pre-Orientation has been changed to the Psychology Auditorium which is located on Veterans Ave. (Please see attached campus map.) The Psychology Auditorium is circled. You may park in the Fogelman Parking Garage or the General Parking on Central Ave. (please see * on map).

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you all this afternoon!

I joined but was removed, because the group is for students who began in January 2014.

So looks like we need our own FB group "LSON Class of Fall 2016" (according to the pre-orientation)

Did anyone else go? Tons of good info, I can't imagine what all else will be covered in the next 8 hour orientation. All I know is I'm going to knock out this health packet ASAP! I need to know my class schedule.

I went! :)

The NURS 3005 books are already on efollett. I've found them pretty cheap on Amazon. :)

I was there tooo.. .I wish there was some way we could get out of paying for stuff out of pocket before school. Lol my fiance laughed at me and said it's like paying to get your schedule.... overtime hours at my job will work :( tears

I'm thankful to be employed at Methodist. I can get my immunizations and CPR there, hopefully for free. Entered my b/g check last night.

I have cpr free from my but it's not bls though. I have all of my shots.just waiting on April for tb test.

Didn't you say something about being able to get your shots at the health dept? Do they do titers? I lost my shot record a while ago and I'm wondering if I should just get all the shots or get the titers...

The health dept should have your records, even if the doctors that you've seen your whole life are gone. I'm not sure if they do titers, but since they'd have your records, I don't think there'd really be a reason to.

I just chose to get titers done from my regular doctor about a year ago because I had completely lost everything and couldn't get in touch with any previous doctor... (And with tncare, it was free. :)

Hubby surprised me today by purchasing my scrubs and jackets with monogram, tennis shoes, and list of supplies...!!! :-)
