I am moving soon.. I researched tx bon website and not clear If I have to provide the moving date or any proof that states about moving date.

My understanding is..

1) fill out the primary something form

2) new driver's license with new address

..

Anything else?

BON is closed today so cannot call them during the weekend.

Any comments appreciated!

I don't remember doing anything except updating my actual address. I didn't have to prove that I lived there with a driver's license or anything else. I only had to provide proof when I got married and wished to change my name.

Thank you for the reply :)

Humm.. then how the BON knows if the change of date is actually within 10 days??

Any ideas?

They don't "know", but it's in your best interest to comply so that you'll receive any correspondence from the BON in a timely manner. I took months (don't remember how many) to update my address with the Texas BON. They didn't respond with, "Hey! We know you moved months ago!". They just updated the address.

The way I read the BON website, it is this way.
