TWU Spring 2023

Hello all, I noticed there wasn’t a topic yet for the Spring 2023 applicants for Texas Women’s University. Wanted to see how everyone is doing and how you all feel! Personally I am applying for the Houston campus but don’t feel great about my admissions score. My TEAS was an 84 and overall GPA is 3.6 and science 3.4 ? I also plan to apply to UTMB. 

Is anyone else who got accepted into Dallas looking for an apartment?

Hi Jessica!

I was accepted for this Spring semester. Here are my stats:

science GPA 4.0

TEAS: 86

3+ years as a dialysis technician

I was accepted into Dallas with a 4.0 and a 93 on the TEAS.

Also, I have zero healthcare experience (which I think is the reason I was rejected from some other schools)

Hi Jessica,

I got accepted to the houston campus as a transfer student from a community college. I have a GPA of 3.75 but since some of classes weren't eligible for transfer TWU recorded a GPA of 3.6. My TEAS score was 89. As for health care experience, I'm a certified pharmacy technician and I've been working as a tech for a year now. I was pretty discouraged after the nursing advisors told me I had a low chance of getting accepted into the program since TWU students are given priority but I got in anyway. I hope this helps you and any other prospective transfer students.

I got accepted to Dallas campus. I did not put in any work experience

Has anyone new got acceptance emails this week? Other than the ones that got one on Oct 14th. Still waiting!

TEAS 84 

Lots of volunteering/leadership experience, and some doula experience. I applied as a transfer student from a community college. I'm not sure if my essays had anything to do with it too. I wish we got some feedback ?
