TWU Spring 2016 Houston

Hello everyone! I tried to search for a thread for TWU Houston Spring 2016 applicants but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one. I have read multiple threads from the past TWU applicants and I cant seem to figure out where I stand because some got accepted with low GPA but high TEAS score while others high GPA but low TEAS score. A little bit confused on how TWU determine their candidates.

Is anyone else applying to TWU this Spring? If so what's your stats?

My stats:

GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 76

No previous degree

4 TWU preference ( not sure if this gonna help or not anymore)

The wait it killing me! I think last year people started getting their acceptance around Oct. 6. That's about two weeks.

Hahaha! I feel the same way. My weekly mantra is 'If I can get through this week, I'll be another week closer to finding out'.

Omg, the waiting game is killing me also, I'm scared I might not get in, I'm trying not to think about it but its starting to stress me out that its only 2 weeks, I wish it was sooner so I can stop stressing out

I went to TWU's open house today and actually received a 1000$ scholarship! Now I really hope to get accepted here, the advisors and staff were great.

Hey @boozii3! Are you applying as a transfer student with no degree for UTMB? Because I read on the website that they do not accept transfer students. Or do you have to already be at UTMB in order to apply to their nursing school?

I do not have a previous degree and I was accepted to UTMB. They only eequired to have all the pre-reqs before school starts.

That's awesome for you! Congrats on your acceptance to UTMB. Are you going to accept there or are you waiting to hear back from TWU?

If things don't work out for me with TWU, I'm going to apply for UTMB's summer program.
