"mau" you are mentioning about TB stuff. I think its mention in orientation packet because I just got montoux test and it was negative. I have only 1 mmr dose so I am going to get another one and same for chickenpox.

one more thing I think we should get H1N1 vaccination too becuase I believe we will have exposure to patients and my physician told me to do that one too.

Regarding scrubs during open house they told white tops and maroon bottoms.

I would love to see you all during orientation session.

I tried to register my classes but was not able to do so.But there is only one professor for patho and she has good reviews on rate my professor.com. I was thinking to email her so she can tell us about book.

i still havent received my packet....i'm getting a little worried =(

noni79 - regarding H1N1, i know that if we have clinicals at Methodist, they require that you have just the regular flu shot, but not H1N1. I know Ben Taub does not require that we get flu shots.

also, regarding scrubs, my friend is in the program right now. he started this fall. he was wearing all maroon scrubs for some reason...not white top with maroon bottom. i'm not sure if they changed it or not. i'll ask him though.

does anyone know the hospitals that we'll be having clinicals?

I got both vaccines for my current job. I guess I will just give them my recipts/proof of the vaccines

What does everyone think about meetint at Cyclone Anayas?? It's a really nice restaurant/bar and the drinks are really good there...there are 3 different locations: the one I go to is the one in Midtown, there is another one on Durham and one on Woodway. Let me know what ya'll think! Or if ya'll have any other place in mind, that's cool too! Oh and around what date?

I was talking about H1N1 just as precautions for ourselves.

For ARiz I would say you can start work on your vaccinations even if you don't have packet. They require 2 doses of MMR also 2 doses for varicella,HEP B 3 shots and skin test for TB. so just make sure that your records are up to date.

For get together I have my finals for this semester which will end on 13 Dec. It will be really difficult for me to join you all but I will miss this celebration:(.
