TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

How will we receive the acceptance offer? They will email us? I cant check status on Nursing CAS, because they open the new cycle, telling me to reapply bla bla. Nowhere for me to get onto the application.

That type of communication would come directly from TWU I believe. As far as accessing your old application, on the main log in page there is a paragraph to the left of the log in credentials. Click the link there and you can access your old app!

Hi guys, I went to Dallas for admission advisor last Friday. It's told that 120 students will be accepted for each class in Houston and Dallas. And the number of application exceeds 1000! Based on last year's statistics, the advisor said if your score above middle 50s, you have a good chance to be accepted.

It will take around 2 months for admission processing. So we shall know the outcome at end of Oct or early Nov. The orientation was Dec 7 last year and it could be at similar date this year. It's mandatory to attend.

I got 59.3 points with previous bachelor bump. Good luck everyone!

My admission score is a 54.63 with a prior bachelors degree bump but no TWU preference. I also scored a 90% on my TEAS. Do you think I have a decent chance based on what the advisor told you? @AmendaLiu

Hi hbow I don't know. It totally depends on the application pool. The score last year was around 45 for Houston and around 53 for Dallas. I

I received a confirmation email last week saying they received all of my application materials and I’m eligible for consideration. It also noted that we will hear back late October-early November!

If you don’t mind me asking, what is the first letter of your last name? I had called and they told me they would be sending out info based on alphabetical order ( from last name).

And by nursing cas email do you mean like the email that you placed for the contact information?

Yeah the email I used as my contact for NursingCAS! Last name starts with an A so that makes total sense! I didn’t realize that

Awesome! if someone else in this chat gets something and doesn’t have the letter A as the first letter in the last name , they should let us know so we have an idea where they’re at ! My last name starts with V so I think by the time they go over my application most of the applications will be reviewed!
