TWU Spring 2021 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

Are you applying to Houston, Dallas traditional, or Dallas N&W? I am applying to TWU Dallas traditional in August for Spring 2021. Right now I am finishing up some nursing core classes and I plan on taking the TEAS over the Summer if corona virus allows it. I also have TWU preference points that helped my admission score a lot.

What is your admission score? As of Spring 2020 admissions, to calculate your admission score, you can use the Google spread sheet. Download the file to put in your classes and grades.

My advisor said that the competitive range is between 50 and 55 for Dallas traditional.

If you didn't get an email does that mean rejection?

Hi,

so apparently its a little wonky this year haha, but I actually received my acceptance letter to a different email than the one I received my verification letter from, so I would check all emails! However, before seeing that email, I emailed the Dallas people and they told me that letters will be going out through the end of the month because they haven't reviewed all applications yet. I know it's really frustrating and I am very sorry. I hope you receive your letter soon!

Thank you! Congrats on your acceptance and I’ll keep a lookout:)

Woohoo I got into Houston!

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted and for those who are still waiting, don’t lose hope!

This was my third(or forth?) year applying to nursing program and I can’t even count how many times I got rejected before(and even rejected without any official notice from one school). I was so defeated that I really thought this is my last attempt, but now I’m so glad that I made it through all the disappointments and didn’t give up on myself!
Woohoo again and I can’t wait to meet my future classmates!!

I got accepted into Houston. (I also got accepted but declined at UTMB and UH's Second Degree, but I'm choosing TWU.)

My stats are: Admission Score - 53.60

Nursing Core GPA-3.72, Prereq. GPA - 3.79, TEAS - Overall 88.7% with bachelor's.

I got accepted to Houston! I did not get in the first time I applied so those that are waitlisted and don’t end up getting in or get rejected, PLEASE, do not be discouraged!

my advice to you is to re-take a science course over Winter break and re-apply. I re-took 2 over the Summer at DCCCD online to help bump my admission score!

My Stats:

Nursing GPA: 3.68

TEAS: 86%

Prior Bachelor’s Bump

Admission Score: 52.7

Congratulations to all and Good Luck!

I just received my acceptance to the Houston campus. I will most likely be declining my position as I will be completing my BSN program at UTMB. Congratulations to those accepted, and if you are waitlisted please do not lose hope.

And for future applicants: I took all of my prerequisites at Lone Star College, but I will have a bachelors degree in Health (graduating December).

Prerequisite GPA: 3.4

TEAS: 87.3

Hello

So I know this is a long shot and it’s unfair of me to ask but would you mind considering giving your seat at Houston to me. I was waitlisted for Houston and I thought maybe I could talk to someone and see if I could take your spot that is if you are still considering to pass on your acceptance to this nursing program. Again before I get attacked, I know this is unfair and not the right thing to do because there are prob way better applicants for this program, but I just wanted to broaden my chances any way possible. I would rather try this than to try my luck and see if I randomly got a chance to get into the program. I appreciate your time if you read through this all, please give it some thought I would really like a chance at getting into this nursing program because I know I have potential. Sorry again if it’s unfair please don’t attack me ??

That’s not how the waitlist works...or giving up a seat...

That’s not exactly how that works. They have a waitlist and as people decline they go to the next person down the list and offer them acceptance and so on.

Is there anyone on here who is currently a TWU Houston nursing student?? I would like to get your insight please
