Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

Hi everyone! I'll be applying for spring 2014 at TWU dallas campus!! I'm excited and hoping for the best I took my TEAS Test yesterday and got my scores today but got an 80.7% :( compared to yalls scores I feel bad lol I just hope I get accepted I'm sending my application tomorrow

Yea once you pick your classes the charges will be there. They update the charges instantly, way better than some schools, take days to update.

Btw do you guys know which book we will be using? Is it still gonna be the same as last semester??

I can't find our book list either! Also, that paper that they handed out at orientation about the Elsevier book bundles, the link doesn't work

During the CPR class, they gave us a book list. However, they said that it should, and I quote directly from the list, "Not to be considered an exhaustive list of required/recommended textbooks or a replacement syllabi." So it might not be 100% accurate.

Btw, have you guys uploaded your stuff to blackboard already? I can't seem to find the place we're suppose to do it at. And for those of you who did your fingerprints the first week of December, have you received the blue card? I'm starting to worry it got lost.

the blue card you shouldnt worry too much about.. because when i did mines the lady told me they will send a digital copy to the university directly. as for blackboard what is this all about???

Didn't they say during orientation we had to upload some items onto blackboard or did I misunderstand? I think it was our health insurance card, our blue card, and our CPR card.

No problem. Since our Concepts professor already emailed us the book list for that class, I'll just skip that one:

Pharmacology- Pharmacology for Nursing Care, 8e (ISBN 1437735827)

Assessment- Bates' Nursing Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking (ISBN 0781780691)

Student Laboratory Manual for Bates'... (ISBN 1451183755)

Pathophysiology- Pathophysiology, 5e (ISBN 1455726508)

They told us we can get earlier editions (although to check with our professors just to make sure) but for Assessment, we need the ones listed.

Let us know what they tell you. I'll probably call next week if it still hasn't arrived.

Assessment- Bates' Nursing Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking (ISBN 0781780691)

Student Laboratory Manual for Bates'... (ISBN 1451183755)

There is some disagreement on the lab book for assessment. A student on FB said she emailed the professor and they told her they were using a different lab book. The textbook seems to be correct, it is just the lab book that is in question.
