TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Sorry if I don't directly reply to you. I only used this page to read comments, and that was like a year ago. This is my first time posting something ?

When you're accepted into the school, you should make your TWU pioneer portal account. You already have your email, and student ID number. Go to Self-Service, then Student Planning, find the course. Once you put it in your "schedule" there should be a green button on the left under the name of the course that says "register" or something like that.

If you have additional questions, I would contact the advisors.

I strongly recommend taking Pathophysiology before the program because some of your cohorts that did their prereqs at TWU already took it, and will already be ahead of you.

Thank you so much! I thought I was on the TWU portal account, but it was something else. It looks like ill have to wait to register for a few days but im going to see if I can get an appointment with the adviser to see if I can register for the online class.

Do we have a specific adviser that we are to meet with?

I don't. I'm sure they can all help you. I realize that registration is coming up soon for everyone, so they might take a while to reply to you.

To make the appointment to submit our fingerprints:

Do we have to wait to start (click the link) until April 22nd or does it mean we have to have our fingerprints done between those two dates 4/22-5/3.

We start the process during the two dates I believe.

Where are you seeing this link and the dates? In the packet?

In the acceptance package. Theres quite a few things to do and I'm trying to knock them out. I've also made a call appt to talk to an advisor since all their face to face times weren't available until late April/early May

I got into TWU Houston traditional BSN for fall 2019.

Has anyone else been able to login to Patient Portal? It says they have no record of me in their database.
