TWU NP program / advanced patho

Published

I am planning on taking advance patho this summer. Has anyone taken advance patho online through TWU and how difficult was it. Is it recommended by itself or can I take it with another class.

I was wondering the same thing for theory. Also did anyone find the pocket guide for patho helpful. Saw good reviews on amazon but didn't know if it applied to our program. Also what was the best approach for studying patho?

For patho I did not buy a pocket book. I memorized the notes verbatim for exams.

Hello all!

I start the FNP program at the TWU Dallas campus in January.

I got my BSN through the weekend program at the TWU Dallas campus and took patho with mcarthur

She teaches the graduate patho class and I was wondering if it was any better than her undergrad class. For undergrad I felt she said "focus on the disease process" and then test ?s were minuscule pieces of info embedded in the 15 chapters each test would cover.

Any insight on how to tackle this course would be great!!

Also are we allowed to take theory online? They have us signed up for a hybrid course but there's a 100% online section as well

Thanks!

Hello,

I will be starting the NP program in the Fall 2014 and was wanting to know if anyone could offer me any advice on how to pass Patho since I have heard its a tough class? Would it be better to take it online or attend class?

Thanks
